Account Holders:
- Eligible and judicial Jordanians and non-Jordanians.
Features:
- Accounts opened in any currency.
- Deposits and withdrawals are possible at all times.
- Non-bearing credit interest accounts.
- Checkbook provided.
- Availability of revolving cards, charge cards, and Visa
Electron.
Saving Account
Account Holders:
- Eligible and judicial Jordanians and non-Jordanians.
Features:
- Accounts opened in any currency.
- Interest bearing accounts with interest applicable half
yearly (end of June and end of December).
- Availability of Visa Electron cards.
- Deposits and withdrawals are possible at all times.
Term Deposit Account
Account Holders:
- Eligible and judicial Jordanians and non-Jordanians.
Features:
- Accounts opened in the following currencies only:
- Accounts are different periods (one month,
three months, six months, or one year).
- Interest incurred might be added to the principal or
collected or transferred to another account on maturity.
- Withdrawals and deposits prior to maturity date are
subject to penalties.
- On maturity the account may be renewed for different
periods of time.
Certificates of Deposit
Objectives:
- Expanding income sources.
- Long term deposits.
- Expanding customer base.
Advantages:
- New issues are not available at the present time.
Call Account
Account Holders:
- Eligible and judicial Jordanians and
non-Jordanians.
Features:
- CD’s are available in JD only.
- Deposits and withdrawals are possible at all times.
- Availability of visa Electron cards.
- Interest accruing on daily basis and added t the
principal at the end of each month.
- Minimum balance JOD 1,000
Investment Accounts
Account Holders:
- Eligible and judicial Jordanians and non-Jordanian
individuals seeking a non-interest income.
Features:
- Withdrawals or deposits prior to maturity date are
subject to penalties.
- Return on local currency investment accounts is applied
at the end of each month.
- Return on foreign currency accounts is applied at the
end of each quarter.
